Summer display for keido 2 Shinpaku

Among the Juniperus Chinensis(Shinpaku), there are comparatively much luxurious and splendid form. But This shinpaku is chic and cool style(Iki). The pot matches the tree, also does the bottom plate. Accordingly, there is much elegance into the cool. and it shows Iki as expressive personality as human. Additionally, the Kakejiku with the written words "KAN-UN"(calm cloud) by Houan KOSUGI enphazises the elegance of display.

Keido said the Iki to this tree. What does Iki mean? Ordinary Japanese people can't define this word. This is mysterious word for us too. Simply said, I think IKI means manhood as a male. An academic defined the IKI as following, 1 A manner or movement that is graceful and sophisticate, 2 keep up with what's going on in the world, 3 Knowing how to play a lot, 4 being master womanizer. We attribute Iki to a person, thing, manner which lets feel as discribed above.

Shinpaku (like conifers, especially pinus trees) is symbol of masculinity. The display expresses Iki. No wonder. There is no additional element on the left side of the display. It is not too heavy. A woman tend to more iki recently.
